Minnesota Forest Industries Participated in the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) National Conference

Minnesota Forest Industries participated in the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) National Conference in Minneapolis, MN September 22-24.  MFI Executive Vice President Rick Horton spoke during a panel discussion about the opportunities to make SAF from woody biomass, providing a low carbon energy-independent means to fuel aircraft.  Horton said, “Woody biomass is sustainable and renewable, sourced from mill residues, logging slash, and salvage from wildfire or insect-killed wood.".
